Role: 12 months FTC The role The role will be central to a programme designed to make risk management, internal controls, compliance and assurance at ITV simpler, clearer and more consistent. The focus is on helping the central teams who set expectations for the business work together in a more joined-up way, so guidance is easy to understand and has as little impact on day-to-day operations as possible. The role combines subject-matter expertise with hands-on programme delivery and will: Lead the day-to-day running of the programme Coordinate central teams and bring consistency to how expectations are set Shape control frameworks and set up an assurance programme Drive adoption of new ways of working across the business The team Risk management is a key priority for ITV, as our long-term success depends to a significant extent on how we identify and address current and emerging risks we face as a business. As part of Group Risk, this team is responsible for supporting all risk teams in ITV through the definition of consistent standards and minimum requirements to simplify compliance for the business, alongside delivering to our regulatory requirements through Provision 29 of the Corporate Governance Code. Responsibilities: Programme Delivery & Change Deliver the ITV Way programme day-to-day, ensuring plans, milestones and dependencies are well managed. Lead communication and change activities, making sure new requirements are clear, practical and easy for the business to adopt Keep track of delivery risks and highlight any issues that could affect success Risk & Control Leadership Provide subject-matter expertise on UK Corporate Governance Code (Provision 29) and related requirements. Ensure ITV’s material controls scope remains appropriate and compliant. Embed “risk and control by design” in transformation programmes and core processes. Assurance Oversight Develop and manage a proportionate assurance programme that works alongside Internal Audit. Review and challenge divisional assurance outputs, escalate significant weaknesses, and track remediation. Drive consistency in assurance methodologies, reducing duplication and improving efficiency. Controls & Governance Lead the rollout of minimum control requirements across the group with clear accountability. Enhance the control self-assessment process to support group-wide assurance. Enablement & Collaboration Partner with central and functional leads to promote joined-up, simplified ways of working Provide consolidated risk, control, and assurance reporting to the Management Board. Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria) Strong knowledge of the UK Corporate Governance Code, including Provision 29. Extensive experience in risk management, assurance, and controls within complex, matrix organisations. Proven track record of shaping assurance plans, providing oversight, and influencing at senior levels. Demonstrate experience in delivering large scale change or transformation programmes Key criteria Strong stakeholder management; collaborative and confident with senior leaders. Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present complex findings clearly. Analytical, with the ability to identify systemic issues and propose pragmatic solutions.
