Part Time Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic
We are seeking a part-time Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic to provide round-the-clock healthcare in custody suites, in collaboration with the Police and our client. The role requires flexibility to work across a base custody suite and an assigned region.
Overview
* Salary: £20,500 per year
* Bonus: £1,000 on 12 months of service
* Contract: Part-time with fixed shifts (day shifts 06:45–19:00; night shifts 18:45–07:00) in a team rota pattern (2-day shifts on, 8 days, 2 nights, 4 days off). Rolling rota available 2 years in advance
* Average overtime: around £3,500 per year
* NMC/HCPC registration funded
Responsibilities
* Deliver healthcare to detainees within custody suites in collaboration with policing operations
* Provide round-the-clock coverage in custody suites as agreed with the client
* Be flexible to work in your base custody suite and across a region
* Contribute to a safe and professional environment within custody settings
Requirements
* RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration: 2 years post-qualification; Band 5 minimum
* Paramedic: 2 years post-qualification
* Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role in relevant fields (e.g., General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service)
* Driving licence (required)
* Right to work in the UK; British Passport or ILR for 3 years with no gaps out of the country >3 months
* All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting
