Practice Education Facilitator - Band 6 - GH

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. Pay scale remains unchanged.
Applicants must hold a valid Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership or be able to obtain one before starting. A different level of criminal records check may be required due to legislative changes effective 1 April 2025.
Within this role you will:
* Facilitate the development of the workplace as a sustainable quality learning environment for all nursing and midwifery professional staff across Lothian Health Board.
* Support staff to implement the NMC Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment, and to develop their practice as supervisors and assessors.
* Support pre‑registration nursing and midwifery students and newly qualified registered practitioners through the Newly Qualified Registrant programme.
* Assist other learners including HNC students, Open University and Return to Practice students.
* Contribute to collaborative working between NHS Lothian, NHS Education for Scotland and higher education partners.
* Support and maximise practice learning capacity while maintaining a high quality learning environment.
Qualifications and experience:
* Evidence of approved Practice Assessor experience.
* PVG Scheme membership or ability to obtain one.
