Warehouse Operative
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £26,000
Are you a reliable and proactive individual looking to join a small but dynamic warehouse team? Our client is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day operations of a busy and fast-paced warehouse environment in Thatcham.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves a variety of warehouse tasks including picking, packing, and handling goods of various sizes and weights. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring care and quality
* Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment
* Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures
* Use computer systems to manage stock and orders
* Load and unload delivery vehicles
* Perform manual handling duties
* Check incoming and outgoing goods
* Carry out general ad-hoc warehouse tasks
* Use initiative and support the smooth running of the warehouse
* Develop a working knowledge of the company’s wide-ranging product range
What our clients Looking For:
* Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential)
* Comfortable with manual lifting and physical tasks
* Computer literate with good attention to detail
* A team player with a proactive attitude
* A valid forklift licence is desirable, but not essential
