At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland, we design, develop, and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world-renowned international OEMs in industries such as material handling, construction, and forestry machinery. Bosch Rexroth is one of the world’s leading specialists in drive and control technologies. Under the Rexroth brand, the company supplies customers with tailored solutions for driving, controlling, and moving industrial applications, factory automation equipment, mobile applications, and renewable power generation.
As a Graduate Technical Purchaser, you will play a vital role in our technical purchasing projects, specifically focusing on hydraulic radial piston motor components. You will collaborate with experienced colleagues to drive initiatives that enhance our procurement processes, providing essential support in administrative tasks.
* Take ownership of technical purchasing projects, working closely with team members to ensure successful outcomes.
* Generate and monitor requests for quotations using our Pilum system.
* Engage in technical discussions with suppliers, preparing and conducting meetings while ensuring effective follow-up with the support of your colleagues.
* Assist in coordinating sampling processes with suppliers and technical departments, ensuring accurate maintenance of our IQS central systems.
* Prepare sourcing decisions within a global procurement landscape.
* Provide administrative support to the team, ensuring smooth operations.
* Act as a liaison between project buyers, business units, and suppliers, representing the purchasing department in the Product Development Process (PEP) and identifying opportunities for cost reductions.
Qualifications:
* Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, or similar.
* Ability to build effective and strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
* Excellent communication skills, high level of self-motivation, and commitment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel.
