Organisation St Edward’s Salary £18.15 per hour Location Oxford, Oxfordshire Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 20 June 2025 Job Description St Edward's Oxford is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Rowing Coaches to join our vibrant boat club, contributing to the development of our talented rowers.
As a Rowing Coach, you will deliver high-quality coaching during scheduled sessions on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (additional days may be available). You will play a key role in preparing pupils for a variety of events, including numerous heads and regattas, working closely with senior pupils and coaches to support our rowers at the top level.
You will be a well-organised, inspiring, and enthusiastic individual, with a passion for coaching. You should hold a British Rowing coaching qualification and registration, along with a Level 2 Rowing Coach qualification or a willingness to attain this. Previous experience in both sculling and sweeping oared boats is also essential.
This is a casual position. The number of working hours will vary and will be agreed between you and the Head of Rowing. You may be asked to work additional hours at external events, such as regattas.
Rowing at St Edward's Oxford
The School has a long-established national reputation for rowing and has a thriving boat club: approximately 100 boys and 50 girls row and scull from J14 upwards. Pupils are encouraged to compete in a range of different types of boats and participate at the highest levels of school and youth international rowing. Pupils in school crews compete at numerous events throughout the year, including the Schools’ Head, Henley Royal Regatta and the National Schools Regatta.
