The Role – People & Culture Apprentice

We now have an exciting new role for an outstanding People & Culture Apprentice to join our friendly People Team. The People & Culture Apprentice will support the People Team in delivering a comprehensive and efficient People service across a broad range of administrative tasks. This role combines practical experience with the opportunity to gain a recognised and highly desired qualification, offering a strong foundation for a future career in HR.

We are looking for someone who can:

* Provide administrative and first line support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance and absence management, with guidance from the People & Culture Partner, ensuring a smooth and efficient People service
* Accurately update and maintain People systems and trackers, ensuring data integrity and demonstrating strong attention to detail
* Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection regulations, demonstrating a clear understanding of the importance of handling sensitive information
* Support the recruitment and onboarding process, with a particular focus on the successful delivery of high-volume temporary recruitment campaigns, in close collaboration with the Recruitment Officer
* Collaborate with the Learning & Development Officer to support and help deliver a successful Work Experience Programme
* Support the Internal Communications Manager in the delivery of wellbeing and engagement activities across the organisation
* Contribute to a variety of People projects and initiatives, as required by the team
* Commit to and successfully complete the Level 3 HR Support apprenticeship, applying knowledge and skills gained through the real-life tasks within the workplace

Our Requirements

* Desire to undertake a CIPD accredited Level 3 HR apprenticeship
* GCSE Grade C/4 – English & Maths
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
* Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
* Experience of providing high quality administrative support ideally within a HR/People environment
* The ability to work proactively with excellent organisational and communication skills to suit a fast-paced exciting team
* The ability to think innovatively, sharing ideas that support continuous improvement and the streamlining of processes
* The ability to prioritise their own workload and work to deadlines
* The ability to work in a confidential environment, dealing with sensitive data

The Package

* Full time 40 hours per week working Monday – Friday 8:30-17:00
* 18 - 21 months contract
* £15,704 per annum in the first year
* 33 days annual leave
