Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care. Experience with Tautliner and commercial driving is highly desirable, and a background in delivery driving will be advantageous. Responsibilities
* Operate tautliner lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
* Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas.
* Load and unload goods securely, ensuring the integrity of cargo during transit.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
* Adhere to all legal requirements related to driving hours, licensing, and safety standards.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Requirements
* Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
* Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver, preferably with flatbed operation knowledge.
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
* Ability to operate flatbed trucks safely and efficiently.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
* Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
* Physical fitness to load/unload cargo as required.
