Job Summary

The OEM Business Development Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth and building strong relationships with OEM customers. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and working closely with internal teams to meet sales targets, contributing to the company's overall success.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the OEM door manufacturer sector.
2. Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential customers and projects.
3. Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.

Account Management

4. Manage and nurture relationships with existing OEM customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
5. Serve as the primary point of contact for OEM customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support.
6. Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess performance and identify opportunities for growth.
7. Assist customers with technical inquiries and coordinate with the technical support team for complex issues.

Sales Strategy and Execution

8. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
9. Focus on ‘profitable growth’ and margin management.
10. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to OEM customers.
11. Negotiate terms and commercial agreements to secure long-term business

Cross-Functional Collaboration

12. Provide feedback to product marketing/sourcing teams based on customer insights and market trends.
13. Work with marketing teams to develop and execute campaigns tailored to OEM customers
14. Working with operations colleagues on SIOP, forecasting & inventory management
15. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
16. Monitor sales and margin performance against targets and KPIs, and report on progress to management.
17. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales agreements in the CRM system.
18. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
19. Qualifications & Experience:

20. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
21. Industry Specific Qualifications: DipGAI (or working towards) preferred
22. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the OEM sector.
23. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the door hardware industry its OEM ecosystem.
24. Skills and Competencies:

26. Commercial Acumen: strong numeracy
27. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address challenges proactively.
28. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
29. Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
30. Results-Driven: Focused on achieving results and driving continuous improvement.
31. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
32. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and closing skills, with experience in contract management and deal structuring.
33. Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand technical product specifications and applications.
34. Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
35. Additional Requirements:

36. Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with OEM customers, attend industry events, and support sales activities.
37. Full, Clean Driving Licence
