About the role

We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our Water Quality team.

In this varied and rewarding role, you'll provide vital data and technical advice to colleagues across the business. You’ll become the main point of contact for our Operations Customer Centre of Excellence, where you’ll respond to water quality concerns, offering clear, confident guidance and resolving complaints through both verbal and written communication.

As a Water Quality Support Scientist, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding public health and helping us meet our strict regulatory requirements for drinking water quality. Your scientific expertise will support both internal and external stakeholders, and you’ll help us maintain strong working relationships with organisations such as the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI), Local Authorities, and the customers we serve.

You’ll also work with the Water Quality Scientist to investigate and report on sample failures, helping us to respond effectively to both regulatory and operational issues. Where necessary, you’ll carry out audits of laboratory and sampling practices following any breaches, ensuring we continue to meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

If you're ready to make a real difference in a company that values science, community, and sustainability, we’d love to hear from you.

A knowledge of Drinking Water Regulations is desirable, as is the ability to communicate clearly and confidently. Whether you're explaining complex technical matters to our customers or writing reports and letters, your communication skills will set you apart.

You’ll thrive under pressure, work well independently, and bring a proactive, self‑motivated approach to everything you do. A commitment to personal development and continuous learning is important, as is your ability to build effective working relationships and hold yourself to high professional standards.

If you're someone who takes pride in your work, values collaboration, and is passionate about delivering safe, high‑quality water to the community, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
