The Company: A highly regarded boutique Investment Management Company The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Finance Assistant who is keen to undertake their ACCA or CIMA exams. The Finance Assistant role will suit a recent Finance or Accounting graduate, or someone who has 1-2 years Accounting/Finance experience at a junior level. The Finance Assistant will work within a growing, dynamic, wealth management firm supporting the Finance Analyst and the Head of Finance. The Finance Assistant will be assisting and supporting the calculation of quarterly fees/revenue, collection of fees and reconciliation. Running the mid quarter fee process and accounts that have additional funds. The Finance Assistant will calculate the annual maintenance fees and ad-hoc requests. The Finance Assistant will prepare specific data for management and on an ad-hoc basis for Advisors, assisting with the preparation, calculation and detailed analysis of Advisor payments (wealth manager remuneration) on a quarterly basis, liaising with Compliance, Client Services and Wealth Management teams on an ongoing basis for ad-hoc requests. The Finance Assistant will process payments, refunds, partial adjustments, monitor Finance Team inbox for all incoming internal and external queries working with Head of Finance/Finance Analyst to develop additional management information reporting. The Finance Assistant will track revenues per Custodian platforms and cash balances on a quarterly basis and submit these to bookkeeping.Assist with bookkeeping entries relating to Revenue and ensure all fees are collected for each platform The Finance Assistant will maintain company KPIs on an ongoing basis such AUM etc, provide the Compliance team with key data for Regulatory reporting, assisting with annual statutory audit The Candidate Someone who is looking to pursue a career in Finance with up to one years relevant experience or an Accounting graduate MUST be enthusiastic about a career in Accounting / Finance. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to understand complex functions; comfortable with data manipulation and aware of the limitations of each data analysis and manipulation tool within Excel. A basic understanding of book-keeping and fee/billing processes. Ability to manage relationships internally and externally Good attention to detail & accuracy Ability to meet strict deadlines Understanding of currency conversion The Finance Assistant will also have the opportunity to study the ACCA or CIMA qualification willingness to take these exams.
