The Opportunity:Our client, a leading service sector SME, is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and successful business at a pivotal point of its growth journey and to play an integral role in the finance function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analysis and Excel skills, and the ability to drive teamwork and collaboration to produce timely financial information in a small finance team. Main Duties/Responsibilities:
* Team Management - manage the finance team on a daily basis, overseeing all finance functions including payroll and ensuring compliance with controls and due diligence;
* Financial Reporting - prepare all financial reports, including monthly and ad hoc requests;
* Account Consolidation - consolidate accounts for multiple businesses within the Group;
* Cashflow Management - prepare detailed 12-week rolling cashflow forecasts in Excel;
* Statutory Accounts - produce statutory accounts and manage VAT returns and other statutory returns;
* KPI Reporting - produce weekly KPI reports;
* Budgeting and Forecasting - prepare and manage the annual budget, with monthly variance analyis;
* Manage and Coordinate the Audit;
* HR & Payroll - Sole responsibility for HR and Payroll processing;
* Process Improvement/Project Involvement; and
* Ad Hoc Reporting.

You will be/have:
* Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience;
* Advanced Excel Skills;
* Hands-on and proactive approach;
* Ability to lead and manage a small finance team; and
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial information.
