Sous Chef
What you’ll do:
* Coordinate and direct all core culinary activities within The Albion Hotel and other assigned locations.
* Manage and control services to meet performance, qualitative, and financial targets.
* Drive revenue opportunities through commercial initiatives, labour efficiency, and effective operations.
* Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues & community.
* Recruit, develop, and manage kitchen staff, ensuring excellence and addressing performance issues promptly and fairly.
* Identify organic growth and new business opportunities.
* Ensure exceptional food hygiene, health, safety, and environmental practices.
What you bring:
* NVQ Level 2 Food Production certificate or equivalent.
* Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
* Proven experience as a Chef in a busy, client-facing environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork.
* Flexibility to work under pressure and across various shifts and service times.
* Direct management experience of chefs and kitchen brigade.
* Strong leadership abilities, setting and maintaining high standards.
* Proficient in time management and organisational skills.
* Analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement innovative solutions.
* PC literate.
* Advanced Food Safety or Health and Safety qualification
