Essential Functions
1. Analyze electro/mechanical problems of dairy processing and packaging equipment, focusing on electrical safety, basic electricity, and troubleshooting.
2. Monitor and communicate with PLCs, working with current ETs.
3. Work on 600V circuits and below, based on skill level.
4. Troubleshoot plant and utility equipment, making necessary repairs.
5. Assist machine operators in determining when to shut down machines due to mechanical or electrical issues.
6. Train plant personnel on electrical aspects, working towards promotion.
7. Perform preventative maintenance and document activities.
8. Order parts as needed and execute projects under supervision.
9. Ensure work is completed professionally and follow up on tasks.
10. Engage in ongoing education related to electrical skills.
11. Work overtime during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance, including emergency call-ins.
12. Maintain daily records of work performed using MP2 software.
13. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
14. Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks related to food safety and product quality.
Education and Experience
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Knowledge of basic industrial 3-phase power, motors, relay logic, and control logic.
* Basic understanding of power transmission, mechanical drawings, and symbols.
* Experience in industrial electricity and maintenance, with leadership experience preferred.
* Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel).
* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and work independently.
Physical Requirements
* Long periods of standing and walking.
* Frequent bending and heavy lifting (50+ lbs).
* Ability to push/pull heavy loads and work in various physical positions.
Special Requirements
* Frequent overtime, including emergency situations.
* Industrial maintenance experience required.
* Certification in Electrical field is mandatory.
