To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join our centre. The Maintenance Team have a shared vision to ensure that the Leisure Centre is maintained to an excellent standard. For that to happen you will be tasked with maintaining the building on a planned preventative and reactive basis. To include building fabric and M&E. You will be responsible for arranging, assisting, and monitoring any contractors required on site. You will be required to undertake any further duties or training as requested by the Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate will be joining a small but dynamic team with a broad spectrum of skills across multiple trades. They will benefit from their experience and willingness to share their knowledge and training. What the role entails: You will be engaged in multiple trades including but not limited to: • Pool plant operation including backwashing, pool chemical tests and remedial works • Basic electrical including light fittings, socket and switch changes • HVAC – maintenance of filters and belts • Basic plumbing – changing taps, pipe repairs and associated tasks • Painting and decorating • Carpentry and metal work – repairs and basic fabrication Serco Leisure prides itself on personal development, if you are the right candidate, we will work with you to develop skills and nurture talent.
