About the role
We're looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing Team at Pleo. In this role, you'll help translate complex pricing strategy, product changes, and commercial experiments into clear, actionable data insights and be part of driving the success and evolution of the Pleo product's monetisation as we scale our global subscription - base offering. If you're excited about being the "go-to" pricing experience for Senior stakeholders and are passionate about the powerful intersection of analytics, business strategy, and product pricing, then this is the opportunity for you
Who you'll be working with and reporting to
You'll report to the Head of Pricing and work closely with the pricing team and key internal stakeholders. You'll also work with teams in Product, Finance and Sales. Our team is highly collaborative and dedicated to optimising how we capture value while scaling globally. You'll also have the chance to partner with teams across Data & Analytics to ensure success and data integrity
What you'll be doing
As a Pricing Analyst, you will:
* Create insights around Pricing changes both on commercial KPIs as well as Product KPIs
* Support the decision-making of senior management with insights about the impact of pricing initiatives
* Design, implement, monitor and report on pilots of pricing initiatives
* Create insights, develop and maintain KPIs to assess the success of pricing of the Pleo product
* Analyse impact of key discount variables, including promotions and retention efforts
* Provide analysis to support the design and implementation of pricing architecture and bundling strategies
* Build specific analysis and financial models to support day-to-day and ad hoc pricing decisions
* Create dashboards and other visualisations to support your analysis and create automated visibility of key KPIs
We are specifically looking for candidates who have experience in Subscription/SaaS models. Generic data analysts may struggle; we need someone who understands the nuances of churn, life time value, seat- based vs usage-based pricing. You can expect to work with the following tech stack: SQL, R, Looker and Power BI, Excel/Google Sheets, and Google Slides. We also work with Slack and Notion
What you bring
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical role, ideally within pricing for a subscription-based business
* Ability to create financial models which could support complex pricing scenario analysis
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to tasks
* Expert level Excel / Google Sheets skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, etc.) coupled ideally with SQL and R experience
* Experienced in designing and building comprehensive Looker, Tableau, or Power BI dashboards to effectively track and communicate pricing success
* Skilled at creating clear, compelling presentations that simplify complex pricing strategies and analyses using PPT or Google Slides

* You don't just pull data; you want to understand the business strategy behind every price point
* You want a role where your analysis directly influences the decisions of the CRO and CFO
* You enjoy owning projects from the initial experiment design to the final performance readout
This role is not a good fit for you if:
* You prefer working in isolation; this role requires heavy cross functional collaboration
* You aren't comfortable in ambiguity or shifting priorities in a scaling environment
* You prefer purely academic research over practical, commercial application
How you'll develop in this role
In your first 6 months at Pleo, you'll
* Act as an analytics consultant for the Pricing team but also for Pleo's senior leadership team (including our C-level stakeholders)
* Promoting a data-inspired culture within the pricing team
* Build and continuously improve commercial business intelligence, providing actionable insights, predictive analytics and forecasting modelling
* Lead project and identify potential data sources requirements to address business needs, data collection methods, attributing definitions, and mitigating potential sources of errors
* Collaborate with the Data & Analytics group (share knowledge and context, give feedback)
* Be recognised as the go to person for pricing analytics via effective collaboration with Pricing group members and field partners
We're committed to helping you develop your career, whether that means taking on bigger projects, stepping into leadership, or acquiring new skills

Transparency is important to us so we also wanted to share some insights about what we're looking for in applications to ensure you can set yourself up for success
Last time we hired a Pricing Analyst, we received a large number of applications but only a small number were selected for an intro call. Some of the key reasons why previous candidates didn't make it past the application screening stage include:
* CV writing and content: it was very clear that many of the CVs we saw were very generic and AI generated. There is no issue with leveraging AI to help with CV writing, there was little indication of what real impact the candidates had in their previous experience. You might have heard of the "Achieved X, as measured by Y, by doing Z" formula (credit Laszlo Bock ~2014), this is a great way to give a clear picture of what you have actually worked on. A link to the company websites of your previous roles is also a huge help
* Application care: every single application we receive is reviewed by a human (yes, hundreds of them) because we believe that candidates' efforts should be matched by an equal level of human care. This means that we expect a similar level of attention put into your application. Read and answer the application questions carefully, they make a huge difference in our decision-making process.
* Profile to role fit: highlight most important aspects of the role, points that might get misunderstood, any specific industry requirements etc.
About your application
* Please submit your application in English; it's our company language so you'll be speaking lots of it if you join
* We treat all candidates equally: If you are interested please apply through our application system - any correspondence should come from there Our lovely support team isn't able to pass on any calls/ emails our way - and this makes sure that the candidate experience is smooth and fair to everyone
* We can only achieve our goals if our team reflects the diversity of the world around us - and that starts with you, hitting apply, even if you are worried you might not tick all the boxes. We embrace and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply - regardless of race/ethnicity, colour, religion, nationality, gender, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, neurodiversity, socio-economic status, culture or beliefs.
* When you submit an application we process your personal data as a data processor. Find out more about how your data is used in the FAQs section at the bottom of our jobs page.
