As Strategy Lead, you will be based within the Strategy team reporting to the Head of Strategy. The Strategy Team sets the long-term direction for the Valuation Office Agency across its three strategic objectives: providing trusted valuations efficiently; delivering an excellent customer experience; and being a great place to work. We work with policy, operations, and central functions to define and prioritize the Agency's short, medium, and long-term aims. We gather and analyze data to deliver evidence-based propositions on how to achieve these aims, as well as solutions for complex challenges. We set out appropriate designs and implementation approaches, translating them into actionable plans.
The Strategy Team is part of the broader Strategy and Transformation Group, working across the Agency to provide structure and expertise for successful transformation. We ensure alignment between major programs and smaller projects by providing a comprehensive view of the Agency's initiatives.
As Strategy Lead, you will initially be responsible for the VOA's Customer & Channel Strategy, ensuring our activity and transformation plans align with customer priorities. You will collaborate with operational, data, customer experience, communications, and transformation colleagues to embed strategic priorities and channel hierarchy into the broader Agency framework. The role involves high levels of senior engagement and stakeholder management. It will also support broader strategic elements of VOA's transformation and program work, mainly focused on improving operations and customer experience.
Strategy Lead - Key Responsibilities
* Owning the Customer & Channel Strategy to ensure alignment with strategic principles and relevance to customer and stakeholder groups.
* Leading Strategy Development by defining strategic ambitions, developing business cases, conducting strategic analysis, and enabling strategy implementation.
* Transitioning into design and delivery by refining roadmaps, testing assumptions, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and collaborating with design, delivery, and operational teams to ensure strategic vision is maintained.
* Providing ongoing strategic support through input into investment cases, portfolio assessments, and annual business plans.
* Managing stakeholders by developing effective relationships to facilitate collaborative strategy development.
* Building strategic capability within the team and across the business through development initiatives.
