Join Jacobs as a Civil Design Engineer in the Water and Environment team. You’ll help shape the future of water infrastructure through strategic partnerships with the region’s largest water companies. The role spans the full project lifecycle, from early‑stage feasibility and planning to design, construction management, and long‑term operations.
* Lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
* Deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions across water infrastructure.
* Oversee technical delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
* Exhibit exemplary behaviour in health, safety and wellbeing management in line with Jacobs’ BeyondZero approach.
* Develop relationship‑based growth by fostering connections with existing water customers.
Qualifications
* Progressive experience in civil engineering, detailed design, and design‑and‑build delivery for water/wastewater projects.
* Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and project lifecycle management.
* Familiarity with UK water sector regulations and safety protocols.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Member of ICE or CIWEM.
* Robust understanding of current health, safety and welfare legislation.
* Commitment to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
