Right Match Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established and international organisation based in Rainham, Essex to recruit aforward thinking Compliance Technologist to join their team.This is an exciting, full-time and fixed 9 months maternity cover contract role.Overall purpose of job:Champion Technical compliance to food safety, legal requirements and quality standards by ensuring successful management of specifications and suppliers, and supporting internal compliance processesKey areas of responsibility:Primary ResponsibilitiesTo maintain and improve company's Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards, and the requirements of any accreditation (ie. BRCGS, FEMAS, etc.), legislative, and customer requirements.To work in compliance with company's Quality Policy and support the company's Health & Safety and Food Safety & Quality Culture.To operate in line with the requirements detailed within the company's policies and practices detailed within the company's Quality Management System (QMS).Be a champion for food safety & quality throughout the businessManage, record and monitor consumer/customer complaints. Facilitate investigation, closure and trending.Manage and maintain raw material and finished product specificationsManage and maintain documentation relating to suppliers and raw materialsSupport the artwork process, including artwork approvals and pack copy creationSupport Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) & Damaged Material Reporting (DMR) processes, ensuring thorough & appropriate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.Support administrative activities such as sampling, calibration, consumable monitoring & restocking etc.Play an active role in solving quality issues, continuous improvement programmes, and other quality and/or Food Safety projectsIdentify, develop and implement Food Safety and/or Quality policies and procedures as required, alongside relevant business stakeholdersAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport monthly trending of identified KPI'sCreate the monthly Technical communication and share with internal stakeholdersParticipate in external and third-party audits as required.Co-ordinate and support internal audit activities such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits, Glass & Hard Plastic (GHP) audits and QMS audits as required.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as requiredSupport the business' Food Safety & Quality Culture planSupport continuous improvement programs, and other quality and/or Food Safety projectsSupport for Technical Department and/or other business functions as and when required.Undertake any other duties, as considered by the business to be within scope of role.Qualifications/Experience required:Minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar role and/or industryHACCP level 2Awareness of food safety regulations, BRCGS Requirements, and best practicesProficient in Microsoft Office and other computer-based skillsDesirablesBachelor's degree in food science or other related fieldFood Safety Level 2Experience of Thermal Processing activitiesAudit trained (Internal or Lead Auditor)If you are interested please apply directly or call Tom Kurczab at Right Match Recruitment Group.TPBN1_UKTJ
