This is a key role within the school’s leadership and support structure, ensuring the effective and efficient management of all financial operations. About the Role The Finance Manager will be responsible for: Leading the school’s financial strategy, planning and reporting. Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including budget management, payroll, procurement, and compliance. Providing clear and accurate financial information to the Headteacher, Governors and senior leadership team to support strategic decision-making. Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, funding body requirements, and school financial procedures. Managing financial audits and liaising with external agencies as required. About You The successful candidate will have: Proven experience in financial management, preferably within an educational or public sector environment. Strong knowledge of financial procedures, budgeting, and reporting. Excellent IT skills, with experience using financial management software. Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail. The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
