We are recruiting for a small animal practice in Greenford who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team.
The practice is looking for an empathetic and ambitious RVN who has good experience working in a small animal practice. The role will involve all aspects of nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the wider team. You will perform your nursing duties with confidence to provide the gold standard of care to the practice's loyal clients by assisting vets in surgical procedures. You must have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Your nursing duties will involve managing the kennels, assisting in the operating theatre, and consulting.
This role is full or part time with shifts between 9am and 7pm, along with 1 in 3 weekends with time off in lieu. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
Duties:
9. Assisting in the day to day running of the practice
10. Admissions and discharges
11. Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care
12. Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
13. Monitoring operations and assisting the vet in surgery
14. Administering medications and taking records accurately
15. In-patient care
16. Nurse clinics
17. Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work
