Support Worker – Role Details
* Location: B29 7JR
* Pay Rate: £12.90 per Hour
* Shifts: Days
* Position: Full-time – 24 hours per week
Duties
* Support people with disabilities, including profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to achieve outcomes defined in their support plan.
* Perform basic daily duties such as medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork.
* Provide emotional and practical support.
* Assist the people in care to access community facilities and participate in community groups.
* Build robust relationships to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Empower individuals to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience within the care industry, including working in an Integrated Care System (ICS) or an equivalent environment.
* Previous experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs and challenging behaviours; including management of manipulative behaviour and handling of boundaries.
* Driving licence essential – you will drive the company car.
* Ability to multi‑task; good time‑management, organisational, attention‑to‑detail and flexibility.
* IT literate.
* Positive “can do” attitude.
* Strong communication skills.
* Compassionate, caring, positive personality.
* Passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Able to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
* Team‑player but also capable of independent work.
