We’re working with a number of inclusive, caring schools across Lambeth who are looking for Pupil Support Workers to make a real difference in the classroom—and beyond. If you're calm, compassionate, and brilliant at building trust, this could be the perfect role for you.
You’ll support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs—often on a 1:1 or small group basis—helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
What your day might look like:
Supporting pupils with behaviour or emotional regulation strategies
Providing a steady presence during lessons and transitions
Liaising with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and teaching staff
Encouraging attendance, engagement, and confidence
What you’ll need:
Experience supporting children or young people (school-based or not!)
Empathy, resilience, and a calm, grounded approach
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or we’ll help you apply for one quickly if needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
