Your new companyAn established Housing Association is seeking an experienced Compliance Assistant or Compliance Officer to join their team on a short-term contract, with strong potential for extension.This role is ideal for someone with a background in housing compliance, safety certification, asset management, or repairs and maintenance compliance, who can quickly step in and support a busy team.Your new role
* Support the delivery and monitoring of statutory compliance across housing stock
* Assist with compliance data, reporting, and updating internal systems
* Coordinate safety programmes including Gas, EICR, Legionella, Asbestos, and Fire Safety
* Liaise with contractors and internal teams to ensure certifications are completed on schedule
* Track, monitor, and chase outstanding compliance actions
* Provide administrative and organisational support to the wider asset and property teams
* Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and audit standards
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in a Housing Association / Local Authority compliance role
* Strong understanding of property safety legislation and compliance processes
* Confident using housing/asset management systems and Excel
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines

* £24 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience
