Job Description:
Job Description
We are considering entry-level and experienced candidates for this role.
You will be joining the Credit Specialties department as an Underwriter within Risk Services. Credit Specialties is a division within Atradius that offers non-cancellable and comprehensive credit insurance to corporates and banks across a multitude of sectors and regions across the world. You will be evaluating different transactions on a case-by-case basis to determine whether they pose an acceptable risk profile and align with departmental risk appetite. For a full list of our product offerings, please visit our website.
In addition to our case-by-case workflow, you will have the opportunity to manage a portfolio of risks for some of our key customers. This will involve developing a relationship with our commercial unit and clients/brokers whilst managing expectations on both sides.
Given the nature of our business, we are looking for someone who has an interest in geopolitical developments and preferably has a reasonable grasp of macroeconomics. You will have the opportunity to attend industry talks and broker conferences, as well as receive financial analysis training, ensuring there is development within the role. While it is not essential you come from a financial background, a basic understanding of financial statement analysis would be considered favorable.
Candidates should be aware that the position involves travel, including potentially overseas, and therefore a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
We are looking for someone who preferably has:
* A bachelor’s or master’s degree with a significant analytical component, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, though other disciplines will be considered.
* Strong written and communication skills with the ability to articulately convey an argument.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential information.
* An ability to interpret financial statements will be considered favorable, although this is not a requirement.
What do we offer?
We are a global company that recruits talent worldwide. We promote a positive and diverse working culture and value experience and expertise from various backgrounds. If you meet the requirements of this role, we want to hear from you. In return, we offer:
* Hybrid working
* Competitive salary and annual bonus scheme
* Market-leading pension scheme of up to 18% contribution (15% employer contribution with a 3% employee contribution)
* Life assurance cover at 10x annual salary
* Income protection insurance for long-term illness
* Starting with 27.5 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
* Flexible working hours
* Training and support for your development, including funded further study opportunities
* Employee assistance program
* Sports and social club
* Salary sacrifice schemes for private dental, health insurance, retail vouchers, cycle to work, etc.
