After a record year of growth and new project wins, they’re now expanding their Controls Engineering Team, offering you the opportunity to work on full-lifecycle automation projects and see your ideas brought to life.
The Role
This is a hands-on, full-cycle role that blends electrical design with control software development - perfect for engineers who enjoy variety, ownership, and seeing their systems running on real machinery.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Designing and specifying electrical control circuits for complex machinery
* Creating detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts using CAD software
* Generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensuring design accuracy and compliance
* Writing and developing PLC and HMI software (Siemens / Omron / Rockwell AB)
* PLC programming - from concept through to commissioning
* Overseeing control system installation, testing, and commissioning (UK & overseas)
* Working closely with Mechanical Design and Projects teams to deliver complete automation solutions
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in electrical design engineering and control systems
* Strong background in PLC/HMI programming (Omron, Siemens, or Rockwell/Allen Bradley)
* Working knowledge of Electrical CAD Design, schematics, and panel layouts
* Comfortable managing your own projects and collaborating across departments
* Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning and customer support (short, planned trips – around 4–5 weeks per year)
