Quality Assurance Consultant
Opportunity for a Quality Assurance Consultant to join our thriving Fire Risk Management team. This is a chance for you to join our successful, engaging Fire Safety team in an influential role.
You will support our Fire Risk Management business nationally, working collaboratively within the Fire Division to optimize our quality management and project delivery activities.
The role is suitable for those looking to shift from operational assessing to an assurance role, primarily home-based with infrequent visits to your nominated office. Occasional travel may be required for departmental meetings, conferences, or training, possibly involving overnight stays.
We are especially interested in candidates with experience in the built environment related to fire safety, including construction stage inspections of compartmentation, passive fire protection, or external wall remediation.
What you will need to succeed:
Fire Safety Delivery
* A passion for fire risk management, focusing on end-user safety.
* Experience delivering fire risk management consultancy in various UK project sectors.
* Professional qualification in fire risk assessment.
* Knowledge of guidance documents and performance-based design measures across occupancies.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry awareness.
* Membership of a recognized fire safety accreditation scheme, such as the Institution of Fire Engineers Register of Fire Risk Assessors, or working towards it.
Project Management
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
Management
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Meticulous review skills for fire risk assessments and safety reports.
* Effective feedback and technical issue resolution skills.
* Ability to mentor less experienced colleagues and ensure high-quality delivery.
* Leadership in team welfare and championing Hydrock values.
* Experience with app-based technology.
