Primary Purpose of the Role
The operation and maintenance of Creative Foods technical data and specifications systems to meet business, customer, third-party and legislative requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility and Standards of Performance
To co-ordinate and maintain the Creative Foods Quality Management systems at East Kilbride, Wolverhampton and provide QMS support to other OSI UK sites as required
* Implement a continuous improvement approach to the sites Quality Management Systems at East Kilbride, Wolverhampton and UK sites aligning procedures across sites and support digitalisation of paperwork systems.
* To administer a robust system for the management of existing suppliers, proposed new suppliers, chain of custody and any raw material development including any procurement projects.
* To manage the on-going review and performance of suppliers at pre-determined frequencies to ensure, safety, quality and authenticity of all ingredients supplied.
* The preparation of internal specification documents and raw materials documents to ensure commercial security is maintained.
* Updating internal technical systems during new product launches.
* Ensure all internal technical and development data systems are updated and communicated in a timely manner to the relevant personnel.
* Work to maintain a controlled library of customer requirements, supplier details and product specifications.
* Produce period reports regarding status of Suppliers, Raw Materials, Complaints etc
* Maintain an internal review program to ensure all specifications are reviewed at least annually, but also when changes have been made in process, ingredients or suppliers.
* Schedule a range of tasks to ensure Creative Foods East Kilbride site HACCP and Quality Management System runs effectively i.e. Internal Audits
* Organising and validating of scheduled traceability challenges in line with the HACCP and Quality Management System.
* Prepare customer submission forms and help in the completion of customer technical requests.
* Maintain a good working relationship with the company's commercial and development department ensuring an accurate and timely flow of information.
* Assisting in the administration and investigation of customer complaints.
* Completion of routine customer requests to agreed deadlines accurately and effectively.

* Liaise with national account managers and suppliers to ensure all product specification are reviewed in time with product launches and annually thereafter.
* Review product specifications from suppliers and online specification system ensuring they accurately reflect the product supplied.
* Working within the technical team to accurately complete customer specification via several online specification / technical portals. This will include account specific responsibilities and the requirement to assist and support completion of all Creative Foods Europe customer specifications
* Check product artwork, packaging and labelling to ensure compliance with UK and EU guidance, regulation, legislation and customer requirements.
Scope
To co-ordinate and maintain the Creative Foods Quality Management systems at East Kilbride, Wolverhampton and provide QMS support to other OSI UK sites as required.

Ensure that all suppliers are reputable and compliant with the requirements and policies of Creative Foods and our customers.
To ensure a transparent supply chain covering all chains of custody and that raw material specifications are a created, updated and maintained according to the requirements of the company, its customers and relevant guidance, regulation and legislation adopting a right first-time approach.
Registration, recording, investigating and forming professional customer complaint responses. Investigations are to be completed using root cause identification methods with corrective actions adopted along continuous improvement methodology.
Co-ordinate and facilitate the company's traceability challenges and internal audit schedule.
Build and manage solid trusting working relationships with internal and external customers and supplier while exemplifying the attributes associated with a first in class food safety culture.
Support the technical and development team ensuring all work is prioritised and completed in a timely manner meeting the demands of the customer
Completion of scheduled responsibilities in line with the businesses commitment to maintain certification to the BRCGS.
Person Specification
Essential
Previous experience working in the food industry, preferably within a technical or quality department either factory or office base.
* Preferred experience of working with food manufacturers for UK food retailers.
* Experienced preferred in the writing of technical specifications on-line and in-house: a good understanding of current food guidance, regulation and legislation; legislative labelling requirements, microbiological standards and nutritional values.
* Strong understanding is essential of BRC & Third Party requirements on Supplier Management, Supplier Risk Assessments and working knowledge of Vulnerability assessments.
* Internal Audit trained
* Proficient and working knowledge of ERP systems such as Systems Integration, Foodsconnected, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
* Strong attention to detail, an ability to collate, analyse and present information and data relating to the business.
* Data management, trending in excel and powerbi
* Team player with the ability to self-manage.
* Ability to work flexibly to meet customer demands and the demands of the business.
* HACCP level 3 as a minimum

Desirable
Food Science/Technology Degree or equivalent relevant qualifications.
* Knowledge of food manufacturing requirements with Marks & Spencers
