Overview
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Account Handler to join our successful Corporate division in Ipswich. Our division is a fast-paced, collaborative, and competitive environment where professionals are driven to succeed. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service, retain clients, and assist Account Executives and Directors in acquiring new clients to expand our portfolio. Key Responsibilities
* Build long-lasting relationships with clients, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
* Prepare accurate client documents, obtain renewal terms, and seek alternative quotations before final presentations.
* Handle mid-term adjustments proactively.
* Accurately record and update client details promptly.
* Manage queries regarding client policies, confirming cover with insurers, processing policies, and following up on documentation.
* Prepare debit notes and policy summaries, ensuring secure delivery of documentation.
* Review documentation meticulously before sending to clients.
* Address account queries and credit control matters promptly, escalating concerns as needed.
* Adhere to legal and regulatory policies to safeguard the business.
About You
* Previous experience as an Account Handler in the commercial insurance sector is essential.
* Knowledge of cross-class risks such as Hospitality & Leisure, Manufacturing, Property, Casualty, Professional Indemnity, D&O, and Motor Trade/Fleet is preferred.
* Experience handling corporate clients is advantageous; experience with SME commercial business is also relevant.
* Risk-aware with a customer-centric approach, focused on achieving the best outcomes.
* Working towards or holding Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII, or ACII) is a plus.
* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with intermediate industry knowledge.
* Process-driven, deadline-oriented, proactive, and results-focused.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in building rapport.
* Strong planning, analytical skills, and high attention to detail.
* Proficient in MS Office; experience with Acturis is advantageous.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
