Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department Spotlight

* Facility Waldo County General Hospital
The Emergency Department is open twenty-four hours a day with 13-beds and a 3-bed behavioral health area. Patients range from adults, pediatrics, chronic illness, and behavioral health. The ED also cares for the critically ill and injured of all ages. The emergency department provides excellent care with a fantastic team along with tremendous leadership support.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse provides high quality patient and family centered care; in accordance with the scope of practice defined the Maine State Board of Nursing. Through collaboration, delegation and communication with members of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers care to a diverse population without discrimination in assigned areas. The Registered Nurse supports the mission, vision and values MaineHealth.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ( KSAs )
* Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
* License/Certifications: Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; Current BLS Certification. ACLS, PALS, CPI current or within 1 year of hire, TNCC preferred. Current NIHSS (every two years), CEN preferred.
* Experience: A minimum of one year in an acute care setting preferred.
