Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, term time only
Actual Starting Salary (calculated pro rata): £20,551 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

The Hastings Academy is looking to appoint a full time Student Wellbeing and Pastoral Officer to join our friendly and proactive pastoral team.
Within this highly rewarding role, your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing support, care and guidance; ensuring that students emotional and wellbeing needs are met
2. Ensuring students attend lessons
3. Assisting students that need to be removed for behavioural or emotional reasons
4. Working proactively and liaising with parents and staff in supporting students learning and progress
To be successful within this role, you will:
5. Be firmly committed to improving standards of learning and achievement and improving life chances for all students
6. Have excellent communication and listening skills
7. Be a confident, calm and caring team member
8. Be an excellent role model; offering support and guidance to ensure students are fully engaged
9. Have a good understanding of the learning and support needs of young people, gained in a working school setting in a learning support capacity
