Temporary Housing Officer – Cambridgeshire
Contract: Temporary
Start Date: ASAP
We’re working with a friendly and supportive housing team in Cambridgeshire who are seeking a Temporary Housing Officer to join them immediately. The role is expected to run for an initial 3 months with the possibility of extension depending on team needs.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in housing management who is looking for a short-term placement in a collaborative, office-based environment. While some home working may be possible after the initial training period, the successful candidate will need to be on-site for the first few weeks to embed into the team and receive full support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responding to and managing low-level and initial anti-social behaviour (ASB) complaints
* Following the organisation’s arrears procedure up to Notice of Seeking Possession (NOSP) stage
* Conducting estate inspections to ensure standards are maintained
* Managing shortlisting via Home Link, arranging viewings, and completing sign-ups
The team is open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate and covers areas across Cambridgeshire. You’ll be joining a fully office-based team that prides itself on being welcoming and supportive – a great environment for a temp to settle in quickly.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a housing management or housing officer role
* Strong understanding of ASB and arrears procedures
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
* Comfortable with office-based work and willing to travel across Cambridgeshire as needed
* Familiarity with Home Link or similar housing allocation systems is desirable
If you’re available immediately and looking for a rewarding temporary role in a great team environment, we’d love to hear from you
