Overview
Part-time, from January 2026. A well-qualified, experienced and enthusiastic harp teacher is required to join a large, flourishing and dynamic department. There are currently 11 pupils, but additional hours may be offered with piano pupils if the candidate is suitably qualified and experienced. Applications are equally welcome from candidates who only wish to teach the harp.
Location and schedule
Guildford High School has 10 dedicated teaching studios for VMTs and studio space for a new harp teacher is available on Mondays or Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Lessons are on rotation so that they do not always occur at the same time of the week.
Responsibilities
* Complete reports once a year.
* Attend the online Visiting Music Teachers’ Parents’ Evening in the Lent Term.
* Teach a short demonstration lesson (10 minutes) as part of the interview process.

* Applications close at 08:00 AM on 6 October 2025 and interviews will be held on the morning of Monday 13 October 2025.
* As well as an interview, successful applicants will be expected to teach a short demonstration lesson (10 minutes).
