Who You Are You possess a Social Work Degree or equivalent and hold current registration with SWECC. You have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a statutory Children’s Social Care service. Your deep understanding of legislative frameworks, statutory guidance, and processes serves as your strong foundation in this field. You have expert skills in needs-led assessment and planning, and are able to apply critical reflection and analysis to complex cases. You also exhibit excellent organizational skills and are able to prioritize and handle fluctuating caseloads. You're adept at using information technology, including ICS, and conduct your work within professional and ethical standards. What the Job Involves As a qualified and experienced Social Worker, your role is crucial to the operational delivery of an effective Children’s Social Care Service. Your main tasks will involve managing a complex caseload, making informed and complex decisions, and demonstrating critical reflection. You will represent the department in various multi-disciplinary forums. You'll ensure that client information data is gathered lawfully, accurate, and only divulged in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. You will also attend and represent departments in forums, oversee the management of social work students, ensure accurate data entry, and maintain updated reports. You are expected to contribute to the overall development of the Service and the Council. Participation in the Out-of-Hours Service may also be required from time to time.
