In the Capital Allowances team, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding claims to our clients. We provide advice to a diverse range of organizations, empowering clients to make informed decisions and maximize tax reliefs. With a focus on quality and integrity, we support businesses, communities, and our colleagues to flourish.
Within the wider Real Estate Tax team, we advise companies, real estate funds, global investors, REITs, partnerships, and private investors on capital allowances and land remediation relief in the UK. Our work spans property transactions, tax structuring, compliance, and due diligence across all real estate sectors, including commercial, office, student accommodation, healthcare, industrial, logistics, retail, and hotels.
We support flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job shares, to help balance work and personal life.
A look into the role
As an Associate Director, you will:
* Be a key member of a high-performing team with extensive sector experience, working with high-profile clients on challenging projects.
* Develop junior team members, understanding their career aspirations.
* Work on significant projects, including those with construction costs up to £350m+ and portfolio reviews involving 100+ sites, with opportunities for rapid promotion.
* Own your work, leading client interactions, project delivery, and collaboration with other teams, supported by our experienced partners and directors.
* Gather information, review, and produce reports for clients, liaising closely with client teams to meet their needs.
* Participate in and lead business development initiatives and proposals.
* Manage your workload effectively, prioritizing tasks according to project demands.
Minimum criteria for candidates
* RICS / CTA / ACA qualification or equivalent
* Experience in capital allowances
* Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff
Preferred skills include tax structuring, international capital allowances advice, land remediation relief, and working with UK REITs and property investment entities, but we are open to candidates eager to develop these areas.
