About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering curiosity and understanding of the world. You will play a key role in inspiring students, promoting a love for Geography, and contributing to the department’s continued success.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development.
* Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
* Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and extracurricular activities.
* Contribute to whole-school initiatives and the wider school community.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Degree in Geography or a related subject.
* Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
Required Skills
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
* Strong organisational and planning abilities.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Skills
* Experience teaching A-Level Geography (desirable).
* Experience in pastoral or form tutor responsibilities.
* Familiarity with current educational developments and best practices.
