About The Role

LGBT Foundation is an impactful, vibrant charity with a wide portfolio of well-established services and rapidly developing new initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people.

We are looking for someone with great organisational and communication skills to be our next Community Officer, supporting our community safety team. The team delivers several programmes throughout the year, including the Village Angels, a nighttime safety project in Manchester City Centre on Fridays and Saturdays for nearly fifteen years. The programme also supports the LGBTQ+ community through relationships with Greater Manchester Police and fosters better community engagement, as well as working with Manchester City Council on Hate Crime Awareness training. We also support individuals in legal matters and deliver a monthly Community Café in central Manchester.

This role is based in Manchester, may include working from home, and requires availability for face-to-face delivery, including some weekends for the Community Café. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We encourage applications from people of colour, racially minoritised communities, trans*, non-binary, and/or older people (50+), to improve diversity within our staff team.
