Overview
Site Supervisor - Primary School, Blackburn. Salary: 24,000 - 25,000 per year (pro rata). Hours: 25 hours per week (part-time).
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and reliable Site Supervisor to join a welcoming Primary School in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with maintenance, caretaking, or facilities experience who takes pride in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained school environment.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for pupils, staff, and visitors
* Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks across the premises
* Ensure site security, including unlocking/locking the school and managing alarm systems
* Maintain health & safety standards, including risk assessments and compliance checks
* Support cleaning, waste management, and groundskeeping duties as required
* Liaise with contractors and service providers when needed
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Supervisor, Premises Officer, Facilities Assistant, or similar role
* Practical skills in maintenance (basic plumbing, electrics, joinery, painting, and general DIY)
* Knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding, and fire safety procedures
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
