Part-time (21 or 28 hours) | Permanent
Salary:
* National (Remote): £22,079 (21 hrs) or £29,439 (28 hrs) per annum pro rata
* London Hybrid: £24,225 (21 hrs) or £32,300 (28 hrs) per annum pro rata

We are working with a prestigious professional membership body to recruit a Senior Governance Officer. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about governance and member engagement.
The Role
You’ll provide high-quality governance support to the organisation’s senior representative Council, coordinating meetings, ensuring compliance with policies, and driving initiatives to improve transparency, engagement, and diversity.
Key areas of responsibility include:
* Organising Council meetings and ensuring effective governance processes
* Supporting compliance with declarations of interest and governance policies
* Developing and delivering governance communications and engagement plans
* Supporting annual elections, hustings, and induction programmes
* Collaborating with colleagues across events, communications, and marketing
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
* Degree-level education (or equivalent experience)
* Part-qualified or willing to work towards Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) or equivalent
* Proven experience managing formal meetings and governance administration
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and digital/CRM systems
* Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays (Council meetings) and evenings for events
