We deliver straightforward connections throughout the UK and hold the relevant licenses that allow us to adopt regulated utilities on new developments.The Opportunity We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to be part of our Finance team. This role will be mainly responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial activity of Leep Utilities. This is a split role where there is a transactional and management accounting focus. Responsible for accounts payable and treasury on the transactional side and assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, monthly finance board papers, cash flows, quarterly VAT returns, year-end audit packs, and year-end audit.Key ResponsibilitiesIncome statement analysis and reporting including variance analysis against budgetAccrual and prepayment reconciliations and analysisBalance sheet reconciliationsSupporting in the preparation of monthly management board finance packsAssisting with the year end auditPreparation of Statutory Accounts and Financial Statements reporting pack Support the wider Finance team and business with any ad hoc dutiesAssist with the preparation of other internal and external reporting requirements including VAT and Corporation TaxLiaise and collaborate with the Transactional team to ensure that financial policies and procedures are understood and robustly managedAbout YouIntermediate accountancy knowledge.Qualified or studying towards professional accountancy qualifications (AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA)Maths & English GSCE.Experience of using accounting software (Exchequer beneficial)Computer literate.Excellent numeracy skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Your Development and Benefits At Leep, we believe in stable growth and putting our people first.
