Contract Duration: 6 Months (project has over 12 months left)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Start Date: Mid April
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis for a new build gas turbine power plant project located in South Killingholme, Immingham. As we enter the critical electrical install phase, your expertise in the erection of transformers, installation of switch-gear and cable installation will be pivotal to ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and ensure the quality of electrical installations, including the erection of transformers and cable installations.
* Conduct thorough inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures specific to the electrical install phase.
* Identify, document, and track non-conformances, and work with the project team to resolve issues promptly.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure QA/QC standards are met.
* Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC records and reports.
* Participate in regular project meetings and provide QA/QC updates.
* Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are adhered to during electrical installations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience as an Electrical QA/QC Engineer, ideally within the power plant construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
* Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Valid certifications in QA/QC processes and safety standards are a plus.
