The first American Formula 1 team to compete since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives, coming off its second-best season to date in Formula 1.

General Summary:
This position reports to the Design Team Leader or their designee; it is located in Maranello, Italy. The role involves designing F1 chassis-related components and mechanical assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote teamwork and effective communication across all personnel and departments.
* Design of F1 chassis components and mechanical assemblies.
* Study and design components through solid modeling, surface modeling, and 2D drawing, aiming for high-performance, reliable solutions, and optimized sizing.
* Components include suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel, and cooling systems, as well as equipment for homologation and track-side management (e.g., legality checks, pit stop equipment).
* Manage the design mock-up activities within the design office.
* Follow all safety regulations at all venues.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader or their designee.
Education and Work Experience:
GCSE, High School diploma, or equivalent required. Further education, such as a Mechanical Engineering degree, preferred. Minimum of 6 years of work experience, including at least 3 years in a professional motorsports environment or F1 companies.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent understanding of English.
* Robust technical background in racing cars.
* Ability to work to high standards under stressful, time-sensitive conditions.
* Quick decision-making skills, approaching problems scientifically and analytically.
* Ability to work well within a team at all levels.
* Sympathetic approach to colleagues and ability to integrate into a group.
* Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to assist others.
Equipment and Applications:
* Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferably CATIA), Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
* Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of composites.
* Ability to follow complex regulations related to material shipment and facility maintenance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Must work efficiently in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Occasional domestic and international travel required. Willingness to work long, flexible hours, including weekends. May involve lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive bending, squatting, manual dexterity, and exposure to machinery, race cars, rigs, debris, and hazardous fluids. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.
