Job Description:
The Division of Cardiovascular Sciences within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at the University of Manchester seeks to appoint a laboratory-based Research Associate to an exciting project exploring novel treatments for Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPVT) and factors influencing its clinical penetrance.
Responsibilities include:
1. Conducting in vivo studies using mouse models of CPVT.
2. Performing in vitro studies on tissue slices and single cells from hearts expressing CPVT-causing mutations.
3. Studying cardiomyocytes differentiated from stem cells derived from patients with CPVT.
