Senior Fund Accountant – Leading Financial Services Firm
Hybrid Working: 2 days in the office (London & Crawley)
Are you a qualified accountant with a strong background in fund accounting? Do you have experience managing investment portfolios and working with complex financial structures? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
We are hiring a Senior Fund Accountant to join a prestigious financial services firm in London. This role sits within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, where you will play a key role in managing cash flow, liquidity, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple pension fund portfolios.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Preparing and reconciling daily, monthly, and quarterly financial positions for pension funds.
2. Conducting cash and investment reconciliations to ensure accurate transaction records.
3. Processing investment transactions, including purchases, sales, and corporate actions.
4. Developing rolling investment fee forecasts to support financial planning.
5. Ensuring accurate valuation of assets and liabilities across portfolios.
6. Managing fund accounting, including NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations.
7. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accounting principles.
8. Supporting year-end audits and liaising with auditors.
9. Collaborating with investment, operations, and client service teams to resolve discrepancies.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
2. Strong background in fund accounting within financial services.
3. In-depth understanding of investment structures and cash allocation.
4. Experience with equities, bonds, collective investments, and derivatives.
5. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
