Electrician
Location: HMP Portland – DT5 1DL
Salary: £39,579.20 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time – 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Portland, a category B adult prison and YOI facility.
As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues from a variety of trades to maintain the safety and reliability of electrical systems across the prison.
Qualifications
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S), e.g. 2367 or 2357.
* Two years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician.
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations.
* Good Health & Safety knowledge.
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
