Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and leading the kitchen staff.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Participate in creating innovative dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients and trends.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team management and leadership.
* Previous experience in hospitality is essential, with an understanding of customer service expectations.
