About the Role
As a Technical Operator, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality products right first time, every time. Working closely with our operator teams, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe, clean, and efficient running of machinery and process areas.
You'll take ownership of key operational tasks, help troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement across the site. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Operate process machinery and carry out material handling duties
*
Perform basic and advanced machine adjustments
*
Support breakdowns and perform changeovers
*
Conduct and record hourly OEE performance checks
*
Carry out quality checks and enter data into VQMS system
*
Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and GMP activities
*
Assist with preventive maintenance tasks
*
Support continuous improvement projects and process optimisation
*
Train and coach new team members where required
*
Start up and shut down equipment safely and effectively
What We’re Looking For
*
Experience in a manufacturing or technical production role (FMCG/chilled food experience desirable)
*
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
*
Comfortable working in a team and independently
*
A proactive mindset with a strong focus on safety and quality
*
Basic IT/data entry skills for reporting and tracking performance
*
Willingness to work shifts and support business demands
