An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a thriving and supportive secondary school in Watford from September.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will provide both in-class and small-group support, helping students to access learning, build confidence, and achieve academic success.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting students in lessons across a range of subjects
* Working with pupils who may require additional learning support
* Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development
* Contributing to an inclusive and nurturing learning environment

* Have experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting
* Be patient, adaptable, and resilient
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be committed to supporting students of all abilities
* Have a genuine passion for education and student development
* Be able to work effectively as part of a team
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Graduate Teaching Assistant, or similar role would be advantageous, although applications from individuals looking to begin a career in education are also welcomed.
