Please log into your MySelf account for further instructions on how to apply as an internal candidate. *Fusion Assets, NLP LLP NLC15 £62,135 - £68,013 We are looking for a creative, dynamic and restorative leader of Social Work to join North Lanarkshire Council’s Education and Families Directorate as an Education and Families (Social Work) Justice Manager. This is a unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families across our communities by leading justice-related social work services with compassion, innovation, and strategic insight. You will be a key part of the Justice leadership team, leading the operational management of the ‘Restorative Justice Service’ in North Lanarkshire which includes an established and innovative unpaid work service. You will be responsible for the effective management of staff teams and the oversight of performance within this area of responsibility, which carefully balances the provision of a holistic service with public protection. You will assume a range of strategic and operational functions across the authority, specific to the provision of Justice Services locally and on a Pan-Lanarkshire basis. This will include, continuous improvement, quality assurance and practice improvement and developing improved strategies for early intervention. Your strategic leadership will ensure appropriate professional practice and staff governance arrangements and you will work closely with Education and Family colleagues in key areas of service planning and practice development. We are looking for someone who is committed to involving service users, communities, other relevant stakeholders and partners in developing services and approaches around the needs of those involved in the justice system. In collaboration with other managers and colleagues you will lead plans and actions to deliver improved outcomes, and support the North Lanarkshire fulfil its commitment to best practice and the innovations that will help meet the demands and challenges of 21st century Social Work provision. Line management responsibility for the post lies with the Senior Education and Families Manager (Social Work), Justice. A professional qualification in Social Work with significant management experience within Social Work is essential. Experience in the leadership and development of modern services and knowledge of the current Social Work agenda, and statutory framework are also essential. A relevant Post Graduate Management or Leadership qualification is desirable. You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role, along with Non-Police Personnel Vetting (Level 2) and you will be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
