Eton College has a vacancy for a full-time General Dining Assistant who has the enthusiasm and passion to join our incredible Catering team. The successful candidate will ensure an excellent front of house service is provided and deliver a professional service across all areas of our central dining facility at Bekynton.

Working pattern
The working hours for this position will be 41.5 hours per week, working term time plus 6 weeks over the summer holidays. The working pattern will be split shifts as detailed below;
* Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays 07:00-14:30 & 19:00-21:00
* Wednesdays & Thursdays - days off
* Fridays 07:00-14:30 & 19:00-21:00
* Sundays 08:00-14:30 & 19:00-21:00
You will be paid over 12 equal monthly instalments, inclusive of holiday pay.

* Assist in the preparation of service and dining areas;
* Providing a food service;
* Washing up;
* Cleaning equipment, utensils and working areas;
* Maintaining correct levels of Health and Safety;
* To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required of you in the post;
* Where required, undertake regulated activity, such as unsupervised contact with children, ensuring that safeguarding procedures are followed and providing safe and effective care at all times;
* Good understanding and effective implementation of Child Protection procedures;
* Commitment to and promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion;
* All positions at Eton are classed as ‘regulated activity’ as per the Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023 guidance, therefore a good understanding of safeguarding procedures is essential;
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including but not limited to, completing safeguarding training as required, and ensuring any safeguarding updates issued by the College are read and understood;
* Understand and comply with procedures and legislation relating to confidentiality.
